Cashews are essential oily fruits in slimming diets as they provide energy, relieve stress, satiate and relax the nervous system, promote good mood and fight hunger between meals but above all that that emerges when you are under pressure.
Cashews are part of the dried fruit although in Italy they are generally less known and used than other variants. You can taste them as they are as snacks but also make for example cashew butter, an alternative to the more classic peanut butter to be easily prepared at home with few ingredients. The properties of cashews are many, it is in fact of interesting foods from a nutritional point of view, we could therefore insert them more often in our diet by varying with the more traditional dried fruit. They have defined them as real natural antidepressants and there are even those who believe that a right dose of cashews can worthily replace Prozac or other antidepressants with similar action. These fruits are also rich in magnesium, a fundamental mineral for our organism which intervenes in many biochemical reactions of our body including muscular and nervous ones. Also good is the presence of B vitamins, essential amino acids and minerals such as potassium, phosphorus, sodium, zinc, copper, iron and selenium. The cocktail of energizing substances, without being exciting, makes cashews the candidates ideal for mid-morning or mid-afternoon snacks, or the solution at hand whenever the brain feels the need to recharge, especially if you are on a diet. A cashew-based snack is definitely a better choice compared to the usual cup of coffee and absolutely to be preferred over a chocolate, which if it is not of quality is a carrier of empty calories.
