Yellow Tea

Yellow tea is a drink that is still little known, but with particularly appreciable natural beneficial properties. It is a semi-fermented tea, whose manufacturing process is similar to that for the better known green tea. Before the drying phase, the leaves are subjected to a light jet of steam, to then be left in a container covered with a damp transpiring cloth. After a few hours, the oxidative process occurs and then we continue first with drying and then with the final rolling.
Properties and benefits of yellow tea: The properties of yellow tea are many and for this reason there are more and more people who want to buy this type of product. Rich in antioxidants, yellow tea has a slight diuretic and vasodilatory action and helps in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases, thanks to its protective action on the heart and arteries. It also promotes the concentration of good cholesterol in the blood. Another important aspect to take into consideration is the high content of vitamins A, B2, C and P. Unlike many other types of tea, it contains very little caffeine and for this reason it can be consumed several times in the space of a day. In terms of taste, being very delicate, it is recommended to consume it in the afternoon and in the evening, rather than at breakfast time when black tea may prove to be more suitable.
Yellow tea: how to prepare it? Considered the ideal drink for a moment of relaxation in the evening, yellow tea is very simple to prepare: the water temperature must be between 80° and 85° and it must be left to infuse for 2 to 3 minutes so that it releases all its delicate scent. To enjoy it to its full potential, it is advisable to use water with a low fixed residue and low sodium content.
