White Tea

White tea is an authentic panacea for health, thanks to its properties and the low temperature of the water required for its preparation. Its origins are Chinese and cultivation takes place almost exclusively in the Fujian Province. In spring, the youngest and most delicate leaves of the tea plant are harvested, possibly at dawn. Subsequently, the Chinese white tea is dried and dried in the air: its processing does not include any type of fermentation. This simple and completely natural process gives white tea unique and sought-after properties. Throughout the processing stage, it is very important that the buds are not damaged in any way, to avoid alterations to the flavor and colour.
Properties and benefits of white tea: like green tea, it is considered an elixir of youth. The large amount of antioxidants it contains, allows you to fight diseases related to aging, but also cardiovascular disorders. Many take white tea to lose weight, as it is a natural metabolism accelerator, but in addition to this it also helps to lower cholesterol. Among the properties of white tea there is also its ability to counteract the bacteria of the oral cavity, which are mainly responsible for the onset of plaque and therefore, of cavities, but also of bad breath.
White tea has few contraindications, but among these there are the presence of fluoride which, if consumed in excessive quantities, can deteriorate the dental enamel, the presence of caffeine, albeit to a much lesser extent than other types of tea and finally, the presence of flavonoids can slow down the absorption of iron in anemic people. White tea is therefore used for weight loss, but not only: its properties are compared to those of green tea and it is considered, especially in the East, an indispensable natural aid.
White tea how to prepare it: To prepare Chinese white tea, the optimal temperature of the water must never exceed 80°C and the infusion time must be approximately 1.5-2.5 minutes. Depending on the type of variety, the infusion times may vary slightly, as well as the method of consumption. In general it should be served plain, without the addition of sugar or honey.
