It is also a food particularly rich in antioxidants (polyphenols), which reduce the risk of falling ill with various pathologies. The research was conducted on a sample of 120 thousand people and it was seen that those who ate at least 10-15 grams of nuts or peanuts every day (the correspondent of a half handful) saw the risk of death from some serious diseases reduced.
The properties of peanuts have been confirmed by several scientific studies such as the one published in the International Journal of Epidemiology according to which it is enough to eat a small handful of dried fruit a day to live longer.
The confirmation of this protective effect against some diseases then comes from another study conducted on about 200 thousand people between the United States and China which has seen that a higher consumption of nuts and peanuts also corresponds to a lower rate of mortality mainly caused by stroke.
