How should Matcha be dosed? Using a bamboo spoon, the chashaku. Traditionally used in Chanoyu, the preparation in the Japanese Tea Ceremony, chashaku is handcrafted, carved from bamboo and then shaped over hot steam. Until it takes the typical shape of a teaspoon.
How to use it? The chashaku should never be wet – use a dry cloth to clean it.
The enamelled porcelain chasen holder is indispensable for storing the bamboo whisk (chasen) after use, so as to allow it to dry normally and preserve the natural shape of the utensil.
