Modica PGI Coffee Chocolate, produced by Antica Dolceria Rizza, is made using an ancient, artisanal, cold-pressed process that does not involve conching or the addition of cocoa butter. This technique fully preserves the cocoa's aromas, resulting in a naturally grainy, opaque, and shiny texture, an authentic symbol of Modica's chocolate-making tradition. Made with essential ingredients—bitter cocoa paste and sugar—and a minimum cocoa content of 60%, the bar contains 4% premium coffee, selected for its rich aromatic profile.

It is bold and enveloping on the palate: the character of the dark cocoa intertwines with deep, persistent notes of roasted coffee, balancing the sweetness of the sugar for an intense and refined aromatic finish. Nutritionally, 100g provides 2135 kJ / 513 kcal, 31.8 g fat (of which 19.8 g saturated), 43.4 g carbohydrates (36.1 g sugars), 11.4 g fiber, and 7.6 g protein, with 0 g salt. A perfect tasting chocolate, served pure or paired with gourmet spirits, frothed milk, artisanal ice cream, and sophisticated coffee breaks. May contain traces of nuts (almonds, hazelnuts, pistachios), but retains a minimalist, pure, and regional soul.
