
"Un mondo di Spezie" (A World of Spices) at Bacchanal 2025
Spices are increasingly the protagonists, at the table and beyond... interest is growing in their uses, aromas and origins. It was only a few days ago that our beloved spices will be the central theme of the Imola Bacchanal.
For those who are not familiar with it, Bacchanal is an event dedicated to gastronomic culture that has been a fixture in the Imola area for more than thirty years in November.
At each edition, a different theme is chosen for the event, around which all the scheduled initiatives will revolve: shows, tastings, and customised menus proposed by local bars and restaurants in the area participating in the initiative.
For the 2025 edition, as mentioned at the beginning, the choice has fallen on spices: the title of this year's edition will be “a world of spices”.As underlined by Imola's councillor for culture: 'The role of spices on our tables has always been fundamental in consolidating Italian cuisine as one of the most appreciated, and most imitated, in the world. We have therefore decided, with the choice of this theme, to pay homage to those little ingredients that have made our cuisine so great. Without forgetting, of course, that “A World of Spices” also speaks of the culinary traditions that are more distant from our own, but that can easily integrate to create culinary, and life, experiences that enrich all the people sitting around the same table'.
An excellent opportunity for those who want to explore new flavour routes from around the world or simply discover more about gastronomic traditions different from our own.
The event will take place in the autumn, from 25 October to 16 November and, as a preview, from 24 to 25 May.
