Aromatic herbs and spices to use in summer

Have you ever wondered which aromatic herbs and spices should not be missing from your pantry in summer? Let's find out together.
Let's start with the most obvious ones! Mint and Basil, fresh, aromatic and fragrant, essential in classic summer recipes, to flavor flavored waters, salads and much more.
But in addition to these there are aromatic herbs and spices not to be underestimated to bring new and fresh aromatic notes into your kitchen.

Think for example of chives, with an intense and pleasant flavour, ideal not only for giving flavor to dishes, but also for creating imaginative dishes with great visual impact.
I fennel seeds ideal for flavoring focaccias, meats or omelettes, they leave a pleasant aromatic sensation on the palate, to be experimented with during the summer.
Ginger, both fresh and in powder form , with its pungent and citrus flavour, it adapts to dishes of every season.

Cumin, coriander and cardamom, pleasant, allies of the digestive system, useful if you are also following a detox path, perfect for experimenting with some exotic or oriental dishes.

Have you ever tried using Andaliman pepper? Its particular taste with intense citrus notes, to which it owes the name "lemon pepper" by which it is known, is perfect to accompany your summer dishes. To be tried with greens, vegetables, pungent cheeses, but above all (if you do not follow a diet free of animal proteins), with fish and in particular with seafood.

Don't underestimate dill too! An aromatic herb perhaps little used on a daily basis in our kitchens, and it's a real shame, its aroma, for those who have never tasted it, reminds that of wild fennel and anise.

Chili powder and paprika "in all sauces": even if the summer is "fiery" you certainly cannot give up a touch of spiciness, to accompany and give a touch of taste plus sauces, meat or grilled vegetables and more.
