So does green tea help you lose weight? It is certainly not enough on its own, but in combination with a healthy diet and a good dose of physical exercise it is certainly a valid ally for keeping fit. Those who want to choose a drink that is not only good, but also indicated for the well-being of the skin, can try matcha tea, which has always been appreciated as an anti-ageing, draining and detoxifying remedy, thanks to the high content of catechins. According to experts at Penn State University, green tea has in fact slimming properties: it contains some substances capable of leading to a greater ability of the body to burn excess fat and reduce the absorption of fat introduced with food.
How do you prepare a cup of green tea, hot or cold? To correctly prepare a cup of green tea, the water must be brought to the boil and then left to cool until it reaches a temperature between 70°-80° C. Once this is done, just leave your green tea to infuse for 2-5 minutes. Those who instead prefer to enjoy a glass of cold green tea, after bringing the water to the boil and leaving the tea to infuse, must wait for it to reach room temperature: then leave it in the fridge for a couple of hours and enjoy it as a fresh, healthy and thirst-quenching drink.
