Green Tea

Green tea is not considered a simple drink, but an authentic natural medicine. In fact, it has been used in Japan for many centuries for its numerous beneficial properties, which have also been confirmed thanks to recent scientific research. This delicious drink can be enjoyed hot in winter and cold in summer, adapting to all seasons. Furthermore, having a lower dose of caffeine than black tea or coffee, it can also be consumed more than once a day. But be careful: like other types of tea and infusions, green tea during pregnancy should be taken in limited quantities.
Properties and benefits of green tea:
Thanks to the many properties and benefits of green tea, this drink is considered an authentic panacea for the well-being of the body. First of all, you need to know that green tea is a natural antibacterial, ideal for counteracting the action of bacteria present in the oral cavity. Furthermore, it is useful for regulating the level of cholesterol in the blood and for preventing diabetes, as it helps to balance blood sugar levels. Considered an excellent ally not only for health, but also for beauty, green tea is a natural concentrate of antioxidants, very useful for counteracting skin aging, and an excellent remedy against extra pounds. So does green tea help you lose weight? It is certainly not enough on its own, but in combination with a healthy diet and a good dose of physical exercise it is certainly a valid ally for keeping fit. Those who want to choose a drink that is not only good, but also indicated for the well-being of the skin, can try matcha tea, which has always been appreciated as an anti-ageing, draining and detoxifying remedy, thanks to the high content of catechins. According to experts at Penn State University, green tea has in fact slimming properties: it contains some substances capable of leading to a greater ability of the body to burn excess fat and reduce the absorption of fat introduced with food.
How do you prepare a cup of green tea, hot or cold? To correctly prepare a cup of green tea, the water must be brought to the boil and then left to cool until it reaches a temperature between 70°-80° C. Once this is done, just leave your green tea to infuse for 2-5 minutes. Those who instead prefer to enjoy a glass of cold green tea, after bringing the water to the boil and leaving the tea to infuse, must wait for it to reach room temperature: then leave it in the fridge for a couple of hours and enjoy it as a fresh, healthy and thirst-quenching drink.
